Our team was able to find many internet accessible resources. This does require the internet, assuming all foreign born have access to the internet. The internet is not a vital communication resource for many immigrant communities. Immigrants often use various community groups to receive their information, such as their religion community, their neighbors, and family members. San Mateo County needs to conduct a survey to the channels of which the foreign born community receives information through. San Mateo should also think about increasing internet accessibility for their immigrant population.

 

Especially with the upcoming presidential elections, it is important to provide pathways for political awareness to these communities and allow their voices to be heard. Also with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, San Mateo County must be aware of safety and accessibility issues associated with voting.
